In a country of more than a billion people, where “western” music by itself is frowned down up, Indian bands are striving to be heard. Not jus within the confines of their faction, but on a global level. Narrow mindedness and severe conservatism within the society has taken its toll on the music scene, with bands facing stiff opposition and lack of support.

Road Crew Records is an Indian record label dedicated on changing all that. RCR was started in early 2009 with an aim to promote Indian metal bands and give them the worldwide attention and exposure they deserve.

By starting the label, we hope to provide a platform for the bands to be heard by an international audience and to put India on the global metal map.

This initiative is supported by Headbangers India, the ONLY website dedicated to the Indian metal scene.
